Be sure to indulge in their cotton candy dessert, which comes out looking like a cloud. (Snag a reservation.) Another option is Neptune Oyster, which serves some of the best lobster rolls in the city.
End the night with drinks at Drink—a cool, speakeasy-style bar where the bartenders make you a cocktail based on what you like instead of handing you a menu.

New York City, New York

If you want an iconic New York experience, start with a boat tour to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island—it’s touristy but very educational. If you’d rather keep things chill, spend the morning wandering Central Park or walking the High Line, an elevated park with great views of the city.
For brunch, head to Bubby’s for comfort food (their pancakes are legendary), or if you’re feeling it, try Sadelle’s for bagels and lox.
Shopping-wise, SoHo is the best mix of trendy and upscale, while Fifth Avenue is where you go if you just want to window shop and dream. For something unique, check out Artists & Fleas in Chelsea, an indoor market with independent designers and vintage finds.

Start your trip by hopping on a ferry to Peak’s Island—just a 15-minute ride from downtown. Once you’re there, rent a golf cart and cruise around the island, stopping at cute shops and oceanfront cafés along the way.
Back in Portland, spend an afternoon strolling the Old Port, where cobblestone streets lead to cute boutiques, bookstores, and seafood shacks.
If your group is into craft beer, Bissell Brothers and Allagash Brewing are must-visits.

Grab fried clams at The Clambake, then take a stroll along the pier. (We actually stayed in an Airbnb in Old Orchard Beach and day tripped the opposite way, into Portland.)
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
If you want charming, laid-back girls trip ideas Lake Geneva has great variety. It’s the kind of place where you can start the day sipping coffee by the water, spend the afternoon shopping and sipping wine, and end the night in a secret speakeasy.
Pickup your coffee from The Porch and start the morning with a stroll along the Geneva Lake Shore Path, which runs right along the water and passes by huge, historic mansions.
If you want to learn the history of these mansions on a relaxing boat ride, book a mailboat tour, where you can watch actual mail carriers jump on and off moving boats to deliver mail to the lakefront homes. It’s a feat to see.
For lunch, Oakfire serves up delicious Neapolitan pizza with views of the lake, or if you’re in the mood for something cozier, check out Simple Café for farm-to-table plates.
Spend the afternoon wine tasting at Studio Winery & Geneva Lake Distilling or shopping in downtown Lake Geneva, where you’ll find cute boutiques, antique shops, and a ton of fun souvenirs.
If you’re up for a hands-on experience, book a class at the Lake Geneva School of Cooking, The head chef and owner is ultra knowledgeable and entertaining.

Afterward, head to Lake Crescent, a glacial lake with insanely clear blue water. Rent kayaks or paddleboards, or just take a swim if the weather’s warm. If you’re up for another hike, Marymere Falls is a short, beautiful trail leading to a waterfall.
For something totally unique, visit the Hoh Rainforest, one of the only temperate rainforests in the U.S. The Hall of Mosses Trail looks like something out of a fairy tale, with towering trees covered in moss and a magical, otherworldly feel.
No trip to Olympic National Park is complete without a beach sunset. Ruby Beach is one of the best, with dramatic sea stacks and tide pools filled with starfish.
For food, Port Angeles (the gateway town to the park) has some great spots—Next Door Gastropub is solid for burgers and cocktails, and Alder Wood Bistro serves fresh, local seafood.
We stayed in Port Angeles, but you could also stay in Forks or La Push. All make great bases for exploring.
Park City, Utah
If your girls’ trip is happening in the winter, Park City is the ultimate snowy escape—but even in warmer months, it’s a gorgeous destination with mountain views, outdoor adventures, and a charming downtown.
In the winter, spend your days skiing or snowboarding at Park City Mountain Resort or Deer Valley—both have top-notch slopes, plus plenty of après-ski lounges where you can warm up with cocktails. Not into skiing? Try snowshoeing, tubing, or even dog sledding instead.
