Sturgeon Bay is the county’s largest town, making it a easy base for families who want convenience and variety.

Kids will love interacting with baby animals at The Farm, and the whole family can enjoy a picnic and fun in the sand at Otumba Park with its adjacent playground.

Sister Bay is perfect for families looking for a mix of fun and relaxation. The town’s waterfront park has a beach, playground, and plenty of space for picnics.

Don’t miss a visit to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant, where goats graze on the sod roof. Check online to see when the goats are likely to be outside. If there’s a long wait for a table, consider grabbing drinks on their patio while the kids play.

Ephraim is equally enchanting with a relaxed vibe. We loved ending our day with ice cream from Wilson’s while we watched the sunset over the harbor.

Spend time kayaking on Eagle Harbor or enjoying a wine tasting at Stone’s Throw Winery before heading back to your charming lakeside accommodations.

A must-visit is Peninsula State Park, perfect for rewarding hikes to scenic views or a casual bike ride. It’s located directly between Fish Creek and Ephraim.

For an artsy touch on date night, check out Peninsula Players Theatre, the country’s oldest professional resident summer theater, offering performances under the stars.
