As we explored our Myrtle Beach Family Resort the day we checked in, it felt like we hit the jackpot for finding an oasis in the midst of a hot spot vacation destination. If you’re looking for a Myrtle Beach family resort, read on to find out what we loved about Ocean Enclave.
I commend this hotel’s ability to turn our accommodation into an experience of its own.
Our Myrtle Beach Family Resort Experience
Check-In
First impressions are everything. As someone who travels extensively, my expectations are admittedly rarely surpassed. Read on to find out how Ocean Enclave measured up as a Myrtle Beach family resort.
We spent Spring Break at Ocean Enclave so we had braced ourselves for a chaotic and lengthy check in experience. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a calm smile and directly walked over to a check in representative. Rather than rushing through her ‘spiel’ she was friendly and conversational in explaining the highlights of the hotel for families to enjoy.
Before we finished, she handed me a generous discount pass for area attractions for which we could gain free or deeply discounted admission as Hilton guests. I’ll share our favorites of those shortly.
Accommodations
The beach vibes were everywhere on the main level, even in the mosaic tiles.
Elevators were a necessity to move throughout the hotel, so we appreciated that they were quick and efficient. They’re high tech too, so my sons found it exciting to interact with the input screen.
My kids were stunned when they opened the door to our two bedroom, two bath, full kitchen room. It was truly a home away from home and admittedly more space than we usually book.
I immediately noticed how impeccably clean and well stocked it was.
The design was simple but stylish, with cool colors and warm woods.

The ocean breeze at the Enclave is seriously something else. Our bedroom was just perfect for drifting to sleep at the sound of the waves. The beds were ultra comfortable as well.

The ocean view balcony was a real treat. It could be accessed from the living room or master bedroom and was surrounded by a glass railing. The doors also had a child lock on each of them so we didn’t worry about kids walking outside unexpectedly.
There’s truly nothing like a sunrise over the ocean to kick off each morning of vacation.

Amenities
Beachfront Access
Passing through a gate from the pool deck leads you straight onto the beach or turn right and you’re on the famous sprawling Myrtle Beach boardwalk heading toward the SkyWheel.
Proximity to the beach was honestly the biggest deciding factor for us in booking a Myrtle Beach family resort because with little kids, its such a relief to be able to seek intermittent respite back at the room or to restock on food and drinks instead of hauling a wagonload of gear out with us.

Pools
The two outdoor pools are where it’s at. Whether you want to soak up the sun or chill in the shade, they’ve got you ‘covered’.
Even during spring break week, we didn’t find it hard to snag seating in the pool area.

Family Game Room
They’ve got a game room with books, board games, crafts, and video games. It’s a great escape for the kids while the adults relax.
Guests can take books and games back to their room by signing them out from the Family Room’s desk.
This is a great perk especially in case of a rainy day during your visit.

Programming
Daily activities and seasonal entertainment programs ensure your evenings are as lively as your days.
It felt like there was always something going on and they catered to all age groups as well.
Call ahead and ask about how you can get a Grand Experiences punch card for free/discounted attractions in the area.

Marketplace
If there are any personal care items you forgot, you need convenient snacks, or perhaps an espresso drink, the Marketplace has you covered.

Location
The Ocean Enclave totally nails it by giving family travelers what we want. It’s a private sanctuary that’s also a convenient hub for exploring.
With such proximity to the heartbeat of Myrtle Beach, families can effortlessly weave in time for everything from local dining delights to the thrill of amusement parks. The conveniences of shopping, dining, and entertainment are within arm’s reach, giving parents the opportunity to design each day as thrill-filled or as relaxed as they desire.

Nearby Attractions
There are endless ways to enjoy Myrtle Beach with young children. For my kids, the beach was the main attraction, but they found the Pirates Voyage dinner show to be ultra memorable as well.
My favorite memory was exploring outside of town and taking a day trip down to Huntington Beach State Park.
A few of these activities were free with our Grand Experiences card from the Ocean Enclave, like mini golf and amusement rides/go karts at Grand Prix.

Reservations
Reservations are a breeze at Hilton.com, Booking.com, or even Costcotravel.com! The family in the room next to us found a stellar deal through Costco for 3 nights at the hotel. Booking was as easy as clicking a few buttons.
You can customize your stay just the way you like it on any of these sites.
Overall the reservation process was smooth, and the room was even better than we expected. (Having an ocean facing balcony was completely unexpected!)

My favorite pastime is finding fun, interesting experiences to share with family and friends.
I’m a mom of two energetic and curious boys who have endless patience with my tendency to over plan activities on our family vacations. My tireless husband, Troy, provides comic relief, is our favorite photographer, and expert navigator.
I’m a firm believer that travel with kids doesn’t have to be intimidating or expensive. It can be affordable, epic, and, dare I say, even relaxing!
