If you’re searching for things to do in Rosemary Beach, Florida, then there is white sand, walkable streets, and slow mornings in your future.

Below you’ll find my favorite ways to spend your time — from coffee stops and spa afternoons to the best Rosemary Beach shops worth browsing.

Things to Do in Rosemary Beach, Florida

Rosemary Beach is all about letting the day unfold on its own — but knowing where to wander helps.

Let’s Start with Coffee

  • Coffee from 3rd Cup – Their vanilla cold foam topping kept me coming back to this coffee shop.
  • Brunch at Fonville Press – Polished interiors, excellent espresso, and delicious breakfast sandwiches. This is technically in Alys Beach, but walkable from Rosemary Beach.

Claim Your Spot on the Beach

The sugar-white sand here really is that soft. Public access points are spread out, so plan ahead if you’re not staying beachfront.

Make sure you know what time sunset will be and give yourself time to settle in and enjoy the show with a drink in hand.

Get Permanent Jewelry at Creatively Bent

A subtle welded bracelet makes for a meaningful souvenir.

Mine features my children’s birthstones, and every time I glance at it, I’m instantly back on 30A. It’s minimal, personal, and far more special than a typical beach trinket.

Book a Spa Afternoon

Whether you choose a treatment at The Pearl or Vivo Spa 30A, a massage or facial fits the Rosemary Beach vibe perfectly.

Browse the Farmers Market

Rosemary Beach hosts a Sunday farmers market (9am–1pm) that’s genuinely fun to wander.

Expect fresh produce, local seafood, handmade jewelry, skincare, and the kind of small-batch finds you’ll want to tuck into your suitcase.

We had the best tamales at the market and each brought home lion’s mane mushroom mix for our morning coffees.

Blend a Custom Scent at Patchouli’s

Patchouli’s is an apothecary-style boutique where you can blend your own custom scent that’ll always transport you back at the beach.

The boutique clothing is worth browsing as well.

Explore More of 30A

One of the best things to do in Rosemary Beach Florida is to hop from one beach town to the next.

If you want all the details on 30a’s highlights, we created an expanded itinerary that helps you experience all of 30A without overpacking your days.

Ride Bikes

Speaking of beach town hopping, a really fun way to explore 30a is by bicycle! Each town along Highway 30A has its own personality, and the flat bike paths make hopping between them easy.

Rosemary Beach Shops Worth Browsing

These are my favorite Rosemary Beach shops and what they’re known for:

  • Faherty – Effortless coastal apparel that’ll become your new go to.
  • Rosemary Beach Trading Company – Thoughtful gifts and elevated souvenirs.
  • Hidden Lantern Bookstore – The kind of bookstore to peruse leisurely with no pressure to make a purchase.

Where to Eat in Rosemary Beach

The food scene here blew well above my typical beach-town expectations.

  • Gallion’s – The butter candle appetizer was a novelty, but it was the steak and tuna that made this makes this spot memorable.
  • Cowgirl Kitchen – Casual and perfect for lunch al fresco with a local brew.
  • Pescado – Rooftop dining with elevated coastal flavors and views that feel almost Mediterranean.
  • La Crema – Go for the paella and stay for the chocolate menu.
  • Playa Bowls – Light, fresh, and easy after a beach morning.

Where to Stay in Rosemary Beach

Choosing the right property is the most important decision you’ll make.

Look for:

  • Easy beach access (public access points are limited)
  • Beach chairs and a cart
  • A well-equipped kitchen
  • Walkable to downtown Rosemary Beach

We recently stayed in a spacious 30A property that came stocked with a beach cart, coolers, chairs, and everything needed for long, unhurried afternoons in the sand. It made relaxing effortless — and that’s really what Rosemary Beach does best.

How to Get to Rosemary Beach

The closest airport is Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) in Panama City Beach, about 30 minutes away.

Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is another good option, roughly an hour west.

Once you arrive, a rental car is quite handy to have.

Best Time to Visit Rosemary Beach

Spring and fall are easily the best times to be in Rosemary Beach. The weather is warm without being sweltering, the Gulf is that dreamy emerald color, and you can actually enjoy dinner reservations without planning weeks in advance.

Summer is lively and fun — especially for families — but expect higher prices and busier beaches. Winter, surprisingly, can be lovely too. Quieter streets, beautiful holiday decor, easy restaurant access, and sunsets that feel like you have them to yourself. In fact, this is one of our favorite USA holiday destinations.

If you love farmers markets, outdoor dining, and biking between towns, aim for April–May or September–October.
