For Fall Vibes: Honey Creek Orchard in Cedarburg

While they feature 75 types of apples across their 2500 trees, a visit to Honey Creek Orchard goes beyond apple picking. The kids will be easily entertained for 3+ hours with their affordable wristband admission at this new favorite amongst apple orchards in Wisconsin.

Our kids loved their hay maze, playground, corn silo sandbox, tunnel slides, basketball trailer, and Old West Village with animals (They are rescued animals, not for feeding/petting).

The bakery is bursting with delicious treats like Apple Cider, Syrup, and Fresh Bakery (don’t miss the turnovers!)

Our large group of extended family with kids ages 2-17 was warmly welcomed by the owners, Grace & Joe.

Many apple orchards in Wisconsin require a shuttle ride or a lengthy walk from the parking lot to reach the ready-to-pick rows of the orchard. Barthel’s allows you to drive through the orchard and park near your picking row which is a huge selling point for a visit with children. They recently added a corn maze too!

For U-Pick Honeycrisp Apple Orchards in Wisconsin: Appleland in Fredonia

Appleland is our go to spot to U-Pick Honeycrisps. I grew up near this orchard, otherwise I don’t know that I would’ve heard of them as their web and social media communication on opening dates could use some work. That said, they’re endlessly forgiven for growing the biggest, tastiest honeycrisps we’ve found in the area. I tell everyone I can about this hidden gem.

Appleland’s Fall Festival and next U-Pick Honeycrisp is typically in the last half of September. Throughout the month, other varieties are available for u-pick; Cortland, McIntosh, Gala, and Empire.
